A Person Naturally Good
This story is about a devout Hindu in India who went down to the Ganges River to pray. Suddenly he saw some sort of large insect floundering around in the water and drowning. So he stretched out his finger and gave the insect a chance to hop abroad. Instead, the insect stung him. It was a scorpion.
The Hindu tried once more... and the scorpion repaid him with a sharp sting.
A passerby was watching and asked the Hindu what he was trying to do. When he said that he was just trying to be helpful, the passerby said: "Don't be foolish. There are some things which are just no good. A scorpion is one of them; it will only sting you."
But the Hindu answered: "It is the scorpion's nature to sting. But it is man's nature to save."
Interesting... Reminds a little bit of Jesus and his experience with people.
